Guided Kansas Turkey Hunting

Kansas Turkey Hunting The Rio Grande Turkey is the turkey breed you'll hunt on Kansas Racks and Quacks property during the spring. These turkeys start breeding in Mid-March and continue to strut well into April. The Kansas limit is 2 long beards per hunter. The strategy for hunting this kind of bird is to pattern a gobbler, set up and call him into your decoys. Decoys and calls are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Turkey hunts can be semi-guided, or fully guided, depending on your preference. Kansas weather is truly unpredictable at this time of year. Be prepared for a windy 32 degree day, a balmy 65 degrees, or a rainy 50 degree day. Don't forget your rain gear and bring enough to keep you warm. Hunting in the cold and rain can be a lot of fun, but not if you don't have the gear to keep you comfortable. For spring turkey hunt permit and tag information, click here.
