Kansas Rio Grande Turkey Hunting We also offer semi-guided or fully guided hunts for Rio Grande Turkeys, depending on your preference. South central Kansas is well known for its excellent turkey hunting opportunities, with a wide variety of wooded terrain along with plenty of agricultural areas that hold birds year round. Our hunters have tremendous success rates while hunting with Racks & Quacks, we work hard to get our hunters on the birds. Kansas weather is truly unpredictable at this time of year. Be prepared for a windy 32 degree day, a balmy 65 degrees, or a rainy 50 degree day. Don't forget your rain gear and bring enough to keep you warm.
Kansas Waterfowl & Upland Game Hunting
We offer waterfowl and pheasant/quail hunts to interested hunters also on the five-day deer excursion. Dogs are provided for both hunts.
Waterfowl hunting depends on the current weather patterns, meaning things are always subject to change. Customers can add a waterfowl hunt during the five-day camp, if so desired, but we would need to know at the beginning of the trip. This enables us to make sure conditions are ripe for hunting waterfowl. We do not like to send hunters out on unsuccessful quests.
We have the decoy numbers to hunt over large spreads of land and we have lay down blinds for field hunting. In many instances, however, you'll be on the banks of waterholes, hunting out of makeshift blinds. If you're interested in this kind of hunt, we recommend you bring your shotgun as this is necessary to hunt waterfowl.
Important Note:Your safety is our primary concern. We expect you to follow safe gun handling and hunting procedures. In the interest of everyone's safety, no alcohol or drug consumption is allowed while hunting or shooting. Hunting can be physically demanding. We expect you to know your physical limitations.
